After graduating from Southern Methodist University with a BA and a concentration in Fine Art, Lisa embarked on a successful career in product development within Professional Beauty Industry. One day, while having a casual chat with her fifty-something-year-old mom, Lisa’s life and career took a whole new direction. Her mom asked her to create a product that could smooth away her fine lines and wrinkles. “Oh, and by the way, I need it to work for a party tonight,” she added half-jokingly. And that’s how Genie’s Instant Line Smoother came to be. Lisa went to work to develop a product that created an entirely new category in skin care—Instant Smoothers. The initial appearance of this new product on QVC was a tremendous hit, selling out completely in just two minutes! That was just the beginning. Over the years, Genie Instant Line Smoother has gone on to sell over FIVE Million bottles across four continents and has turned into a 400 million dollar brand.
